Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement regional sales strategies aligned with national goals and market dynamics.
- Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual revenue targets across assigned geographies and verticals.
- Generate, nurture, and convert leads through structured territory planning and outreach.
Channel Development:
- Identify, appoint, and onboard new dealers/distributors across high-potential regions.
- Strengthen existing channel relationships through performance tracking, incentive management, and capability building.
Team Leadership:
- Mentor and manage a team of Territory Sales Executives and Sales Officers.
- Define sales goals, monitor KPIs, and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Facilitate product and sales training to upskill field teams and enhance conversion rates.
Client Engagement & Expansion:
- Build and sustain relationships with large institutional buyers, agri-cooperatives, NGOs, and government procurement bodies.
- Conduct high-impact product demos and represent Marut at regional expos, industry events, and government forums.
Market Intelligence & Reporting:
- Track competitor activity, pricing strategies, and emerging customer needs.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, activity reports, and CRM updates.
Candidate Profile:
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Agriculture, or a related field; MBA/PGDM in Sales or Marketing preferred.
- 5-8 years of progressive sales experience, with at least 3 years in a similar Area Sales Manager or Territory Sales Manager capacity.
Core Competencies:
- Proven success in managing regional P&L, dealer networks, and institutional sales.
- Strong grasp of agri-tech, drone applications in farming, or rural B2B ecosystems (preferred).
- Fluency in regional languages and deep knowledge of target geographys agri landscape.
Leadership & Communication:
- Ability to inspire, coach, and build high-performance sales teams.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Data-driven decision-making with a strong sense of accountability.
