Geographical Scope:

Primary Zone : Entire North India (Delhi/NCR, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, UP, Uttarakhand)

Future Expansion (Optional) : East Zone - may be added based on performance and bandwidth

Role Overview:

- We are seeking a highly competent and experienced Zonal Collateral Manager (Technical + Legal) to manage and streamline collateral operations across the Northern zone. This role demands strong domain expertise in both technical (valuation, verification, asset quality) and legal (title scrutiny, legal risk, documentation) aspects of collateral management.

- The candidate will play a critical role in safeguarding the company's secured portfolio through accurate assessment and risk mitigation practices and will act as the zonal SPOC for all collateral-related activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Responsibilities:

- Supervise and guide all technical assessments and valuations of collaterals (property, machinery, etc.).

- Approve or recommend third-party valuer reports, ensuring adherence to company standards.

- Conduct random field visits for physical inspection and quality control of secured assets.

-Set up and monitor technical guidelines for asset classification, valuation frequency, and acceptable collateral types.

Legal Responsibilities:

- Vetting and review of property documents to ensure clear and marketable title.

- Ensure legal due diligence is completed before disbursal, including scrutiny of sale deeds, title search reports, encumbrance certificates, etc.

- Coordinate with empaneled legal firms for complex cases or litigation-prone assets.

- Track and ensure compliance with state-specific stamp duty and registration norms.

Operational & Strategic:

- Build and manage a robust network of technical valuers and legal advisors across all key regions.

- Drive adherence to internal SOPs and RBI/regulatory guidelines related to secured lending.

- Train and support credit, legal, and branch teams on collateral processes and documentation.

- Conduct periodic collateral audits, gap analysis, and risk assessments.

- Collaborate with Credit, Risk, Legal, and Business teams to ensure seamless loan processing and minimal TAT.

Key Requirements:

- Graduate/Postgraduate in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical) or Law, or MBA/CA with proven dual exposure in both Technical and Legal collateral functions.

- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in collateral management within a reputed financial institution.

- Strong understanding of valuation methodologies, title documentation, legal risks, and regulatory compliance.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work across departments and geographies.

- Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned zone.

- Proficiency in MS Office, Collateral Management Systems, and document management tools.
