URGENT HIRING: Vice President / Associate Vice President HR International Mobility

Location: Powai, Mumbai

We are hiring a senior HR International Mobility leader to manage and govern end-to-end global mobility programs, with a strong focus on foreign expatriate assignments, particularly Japanese and other Asian expats at a leading Investment Bank in Powai, Mumbai.

-NOTE: This is a strict AVP-to-AVP / VP-to-VP lateral opportunity.-

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end International Mobility programs including assignment initiation, lifecycle management, extensions, and repatriation

- Manage foreign expatriate mobility, with strong preference for Japanese and Asian expat populations

- Own and govern mobility policies, frameworks, and cost structures

- Partner closely with global HR, business leaders, tax, immigration, relocation vendors, and external advisors

- Ensure compliance with global immigration, tax, social security, and labor regulations

- Oversee vendor management across immigration, tax, payroll, and relocation providers

- Provide strategic advisory to leadership on cross-border workforce mobility and expatriate management

- Drive consistency, efficiency, and employee experience across international assignments

Mandatory Requirements (Non-Negotiable):

- AVP to AVP or VP to VP conversion only

- Direct exposure to managing foreign expatriates, with Japanese expats strongly preferred

- Proven experience managing HR International Mobility (not tax-only or immigration-only roles)

- MBA graduation

- Career stability: Maximum 3 - 4 job changes across entire career

Experience:

AVP: 10- 12 years total experience

VP: 13- 15 years total experience

Educational Qualifications:

- Full-time Postgraduate degree in Human Resources / Business Management / Industrial Relations preferred

- Relevant certifications in Global Mobility or International HR will be an advantage

Who Should Not Apply:

- Tax-only, payroll-only, or immigration-only specialists

- Candidates without hands-on expatriate mobility ownership
