Education & Qualification:

- LLB from a recognized institution.

- 10-15+ years of experience in land legal roles, preferably in IPP / Renewable Energy / Infrastructure projects.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Land Legal professional to lead all land-related legal activities for utility-scale renewable energy projects. The role involves managing land acquisition, due diligence, approvals, documentation, compliance, and risk mitigation across multiple states. The candidate will work closely with project teams, government authorities, and stakeholders to ensure smooth land procurement and legal compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the end-to-end legal process for land acquisition (private, government, leasehold, or revenue lands).

- Conduct title verification, encumbrance checks, and legal due diligence of land parcels.

- Draft, review, and negotiate sale deeds, lease deeds, MOUs, NDAs, SLAs, and other land-related agreements.

- Ensure accurate land records, GIS maps, mutations, and timely registration of documents.

- Liaise with government authorities (Tehsildars, Patwaris, Revenue Departments) for approvals and compliances.

- Identify legal and regulatory risks, and propose mitigation strategies.

- Support project teams with land availability assessments, risk flags, and timelines.

- Represent the organization in negotiations and dispute resolutions related to land.

Required Skills & Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of land laws across Indian states.

- Expertise in drafting and negotiating land-related documentation.

- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.

- Ability to manage multi-state land processes and on-ground challenges.

- Strong analytical and risk assessment capabilities.
