Role Overview:
The Senior Associate Litigation will manage complex litigation matters, represent clients across courts and tribunals, and support partners in case strategy and client advisory. The role demands strong advocacy, drafting expertise, and the ability to independently handle matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle civil, commercial, corporate, and regulatory litigation
- Appear before High Courts, District Courts, Commercial Courts, NCLT, and tribunals
- Draft and review pleadings, written submissions, applications, appeals, and legal opinions
- Manage end-to-end litigation including strategy, filings, hearings, and client coordination
- Conduct legal research and provide case law analysis and litigation strategy
- Coordinate with senior counsels, advocates, and internal teams
- Advise clients on risk assessment, dispute resolution, and settlement strategies
- Mentor junior associates and oversee matter execution
Key Requirements:
- LL.B. from a recognized law university; LL.M. preferred
- 58 years of post-qualification experience in litigation
- Strong experience before High Courts and commercial forums
- Excellent drafting, advocacy, and legal research skills
- Ability to independently manage multiple matters
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to arbitration and alternative dispute resolution (ADR)
- Strong client-handling and communication skills
- Commercial awareness and attention to detail
