
Position Summary
The role is responsible for providing legal support to the organization through drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, advising internal stakeholders on legal and business matters, and identifying, assessing, and mitigating legal and commercial risks. The incumbent will ensure that business objectives are achieved while safeguarding the organization's interests and maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Position Details
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a wide range of real estate documents, including Letters of Intent (LOIs), Sale Deeds, Lease Deeds, Leave & License Agreements, Confirmation Deeds, Rectification Deeds, Cancellation Deeds, Declarations, Undertakings, Indemnities, Powers of Attorney, and other related instruments.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize corporate and transactional documents such as Term Sheets, Shareholder Agreements, Share Purchase Agreements, Share Subscription Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Financing Documents, and other investment-related contracts.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage various commercial agreements, including Project Management Agreements, Consultancy Agreements, Supply Agreements, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Construction Contracts, and other business contracts to safeguard organizational interests.
- Partner with Leasing, Retailer, and Business Teams to facilitate end-to-end execution of leasing and commercial documentation.
- Coordinate with retailers, consultants, and relevant authorities to ensure timely stamping, registration, and execution of legal documents.
- Draft and respond to legal notices, correspondence, and communications with retailers, vendors, consultants, government authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct title due diligence and legal reviews of properties to identify risks and ensure clear and marketable title.
- Maintain and update leasing documentation trackers, legal records, and contract repositories to ensure effective monitoring and compliance.
- Provide legal support and guidance to cross-functional teams on contractual, transactional, and operational matters.
- Liaise with and manage external legal counsels to ensure timely and cost-effective legal support across projects and transactions.
