Senior Associate - General Corporate Lawyer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Associate with 4 to 7 years of post-qualification experience to join our dynamic corporate practice.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in advising on and executing a wide range of corporate transactions, with a particular focus on Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Private Equity (PE), Venture Capital (VC), and Joint Ventures (JV).

This role is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented professional to take on significant responsibility and contribute to high-stakes deals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage all legal aspects of complex corporate transactions from start to finish, including M&A, Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Joint Ventures.

- Conduct comprehensive legal due diligence and prepare detailed due diligence reports.

- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of transaction documents, including term sheets, share purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, business transfer agreements, and other definitive agreements.

- Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to clients on transaction structuring, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation.

- Manage deal timelines, coordinate with opposing counsel, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

- Stay up-to-date with relevant corporate laws, regulations, and market trends.

- Assist in business development activities and contribute to the growth of the practice.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) from a reputable university.

- 4 to 7 years of post-qualification experience as a corporate lawyer.

- Mandatory experience in advising on and handling corporate transactions, including M&A, Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Joint Ventures.

- Strong command of corporate law and legal principles.

- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and legal research skills.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.

- Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines
