Sagility - Director - Finance Controller - CA

Role: Finance Controller (India) - To handle Finance Controllership Function in India

Designation: Director (Finance)

Reporting to: Global Control

Location: Bangalore, India. Should be willing to travel domestic and international, where required

Qualification: Chartered Accountant with minimum 10 years of relevant experience managing F&A teams handling end to end Controllership Function

The role is an integral part of the organization's overall strategy towards building Center of Excellence and focussing on Sagility India.

The specific responsibilities in this role would be the following:

- Follow month close procedures and finalise Trial Balance

- Ensure delivery of P&L and Balance Sheets with schedules

- Ensure delivery of monthly MIS as desired by the clients along with variance analysis

- Available at all times during the working hours to take calls and resolve customer queries

- Handle AR, AP, GL, FA, Forex, Inter Co reconciliations, Treasury

- Set up Internal Controls and ensure Financial Reporting is accurate (ICFR) - something similar to SOX. Ensure and evidence all supporting documents on ICFR.

- Ensure smooth audits - internal, statutory or specific audits

- Focus on bringing automation to enhance working experience of teams at high level of accuracy and seamless customer experience

- Handle a team of experienced accountants in multiple tenure

- Work closely with other Functions

- Ensure Statutory Compliances - Tax Department, STPI, SEZ, PEZA, BIR, etc.

Desired Knowledge, skills and attitudes:

The ideal candidate should have

- Hands ON experience in Accounting

- Excellent Accounting knowledge preferably with exposure to IFRS / IndAS

- Experience in ERP, prefer exposure to WorkDay / SAP

- Should have managed teams

- Must have ability to build blue print with regards to delivery strategy across multiple legal entities

- Managing internal client expectations and effective stakeholder management

- Experience in dealing with Big 4 Auditors
