Role Overview:

The Regional Finance Head for South Africa will serve as the primary financial steward for our regional operations, overseeing the full spectrum of financial health and strategic planning. You will work closely with the regional leadership team and global corporate stakeholders to translate business objectives into actionable financial strategies. This role is pivotal in ensuring the fiscal integrity of our South African operations, driving profitability, and providing the analytical insights necessary for high-stakes decision-making in a competitive market environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the end-to-end financial operations for the Southern Africa region, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting that adheres to both local statutory requirements and global corporate standards.

- Own the regional P&L, driving rigorous financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to optimize resource allocation and maximize operational margins.

- Direct the MIS reporting framework to provide leadership with real-time visibility into performance metrics, identifying trends and potential risks to business growth.

- Manage complex taxation matters and regulatory compliance, ensuring the organization remains fully aligned with South African fiscal laws and international tax protocols.

- Partner with cross-functional department heads to provide strategic financial guidance, supporting business development initiatives and long-term investment planning.

- Oversee internal controls and audit processes to mitigate financial risks and maintain the highest standards of corporate governance across the region.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in managing full-cycle finance and accounts, with a proven track record of driving P&L growth in a regional capacity.

- Strong proficiency in financial analysis and strategic planning, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable business intelligence.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead diverse teams in a collaborative, cross-cultural environment.

- Deep technical knowledge of taxation, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance frameworks relevant to the South African market.

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 12 to 18 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles.

- High degree of adaptability and professional maturity, capable of navigating the nuances of a fast-paced, evolving business landscape while maintaining operational discipline.
