Role Overview:

We are seeking a high-impact Project Manager & Business Analyst to anchor our PMO function within the Factory Automation division of our building materials manufacturing business based out of Mumbai Head Office, handling multiple plant automation.

In this role, you will serve as the bridge between operational technology and business strategy, translating complex plant requirements into scalable automation solutions.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including plant managers, engineering leads, and external technology partners, to drive digital transformation across our manufacturing footprint.

Your work will directly influence operational efficiency, reduce production downtime, and set the standard for Industry 4.0 integration, ultimately shaping the future of our manufacturing excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end project lifecycles for factory automation initiatives, ensuring that technical deployments align with business timelines and budgetary constraints to maximize ROI.

- Conduct deep-dive business analysis of current plant operations to identify bottlenecks and design optimized processes that leverage automation for higher throughput.

- Manage the PMO framework by establishing robust reporting structures, tracking key performance indicators, and providing actionable insights to senior leadership regarding project health.

- Drive change management programs across plant floors, facilitating the adoption of new automated systems by training staff and addressing operational resistance.

- Utilize data analytics to monitor the performance of automated systems, proactively identifying maintenance needs or process deviations to ensure continuous production stability.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate abstract operational challenges into clear technical specifications, ensuring seamless integration between IT and OT environments.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to manage complex manufacturing projects, with a proven track record of delivering automation solutions that improve process efficiency and plant output.

- Strong analytical proficiency in translating raw operational data into strategic business insights, utilizing advanced tools to drive evidence-based decision-making.

- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence cross-functional teams during periods of organizational change.

- A solid foundation in process design and re-engineering, specifically within the manufacturing or building materials sector, to ensure automation efforts are grounded in operational reality.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Program Management, PMO, and Delivery Management.

- Management of large cross-functional teams and enterprise programs.

- Experience in cross-functional project delivery environments.

- Digital transformation, enterprise IT, SAP, or technology-driven programs.

Education:

- BE, Computer Science, MSC IT, or MBA (IT).

- A degree in Engineering or Business Management from a reputed institute, reflecting a strong academic background and an aptitude for structured problem-solving.

- High adaptability to an on-site work environment, with the willingness to spend significant time on the plant floor to understand operational nuances and ensure successful project implementation.

Reporting:

- Reporting to IT Head.

- Candidates from Mumbai preferred.
