Role Overview:
The Principal Associate Non-Litigation will play a senior role in advising clients on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters. The position requires strong transactional expertise, independent handling of matters, and close collaboration with partners and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters (non-litigation)
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, agreements, and transactional documents
- Handle M&A support, due diligence, structuring, and documentation
- Advise on Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI regulations, and corporate governance
- Support partners in transaction execution, client advisory, and deal management
- Coordinate with internal teams, regulators, and external advisors
- Conduct legal research and provide clear, practical legal opinions
- Mentor junior associates and oversee quality of deliverables
Key Requirements:
- LL.B. from a recognized university; LL.M. preferred
- 7-10 years of post-qualification experience in non-litigation / corporate practice
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Experience in handling matters independently and managing clients
- Familiarity with domestic and cross-border transactions
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to M&A, PE/VC, and structured transactions
- Commercially pragmatic approach to legal advice
- Strong communication and project-management skills
