JOB SUMMARY:
- Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overall management of materials right from procurement & warehousing to FG dispatch. Some of the key roles & responsibilities include inventory management, scheduling, vendor development, coordinating with regional/ central teams etc. on all material related matters etc.
- As Supply Chain Manager collaborate with other managers to determine supply needs, purchase supplies and materials as per the business requirement and coordinate & supervise receiving procedures.
- Drive and control operations for the department with respect to all legal and regulatory requirements whilst operating within the defined cost budgets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production Planning & Scheduling:
- Develop and execute daily/weekly/monthly production plans in alignment with demand forecasts and market priorities.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and HO Planning teams for timely material availability and line scheduling.
- Track and improve Production Plan Adherence (PPA) through proactive risk identification and mitigation.
Procurement Coordination & DG Management:
- Plan DG (Dry Goods) procurement schedules and coordinate receipts with HO/Central Procurement teams.
- Track DG shortfall and ensure alternate sourcing to avoid line stoppages.
- Ensure strict adherence to P2P (Procure-to-Pay) processes as per Procurement Policy.
- Control DG write-offs through systematic monitoring and utilization tracking.
- Manage supplier performance, conduct vendor evaluations, and drive corrective actions.
Inventory & Stores Management:
- Maintain accurate and optimized inventory levels through JDE/SAP and physical stock counts.
- Ensure compliance in receipt, verification, and disbursement of materials per internal standards.
- Monitor DG losses (issue/return/reconciliation) and report deviations.
- Drive and sustain 5S, FSMS, FSSC 22000, ISO, and GMP standards in warehouse and store areas.
Logistics & Dispatch:
- Plan and schedule dispatches of finished goods ensuring OTIF (On-Time In-Full) performance.
- Coordinate with Excise, QA, Transporters, and Depot teams for smooth operations.
- Track and reduce detention through root cause analysis and process improvements.
- Ensure all documentation and legal compliance for dispatch and excise movement.
Vendor & Scrap Management:
- Conduct vendor visits and development programs to improve service reliability and quality.
- Participate in scrap committee to negotiate and achieve best realization rates.
- Oversee proper storage, segregation, and disposal of scrap as per company and statutory norms.
Compliance, Safety & Audit Readiness:
- Ensure compliance to all SOPs, work instructions, and company policies across SCM functions.
- Maintain readiness for all internal/external audits (ISO, FSSC, FSSAI, EHS, Excise).
- Drive EHS culture and ensure zero safety incidents within SCM operations.
- Coordinate closure of audit findings within defined timelines.
People Development:
- Conduct skill gap analysis for permanent and contractual workforce.
- Design and execute training programs for functional skills, GMP, safety, and system knowledge.
- Build an engaged, competent, and motivated SCM team aligned with organizational values.
Reporting & MIS:
- Ensure daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports for decision making and performance monitoring.
- Ensure accuracy in JDE reporting and monthly data submission to HO Finance & Procurement.
- Track KPIs like DG availability, stock accuracy, PPA, OTIF, and cost metrics.
Excellence & Continuous Improvement:
- Drive Operational Excellence by optimizing material flow, improving process efficiency, and reducing losses.
- Lead Cost Excellence initiatives through better negotiation, logistics optimization, and resource utilization.
- Promote Quality Excellence by embedding PRIME, GMP, and Lean practices in daily operations.
- Foster People Excellence by nurturing leadership, accountability, and performance-driven culture.
- Implement and sustain digital tools, automation, and performance dashboards for visibility and control.
- Act as a change agent to identify and execute improvement projects aligned with business priorities (Project Zero, PRIME, FG OSC, Reuse initiatives).

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Postgraduate preferably Engineer/ MBA in Supply Chain or Operations.
EXPERIENCE:
- 10-15 years of relevant experience in logistics/procurement activities of a comparable industrial enterprise.
- Adept at procurement procedures and techniques.
- Strong financial and business acumen.
- Experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management would be an added advantage.
- Well versed with Excel and Power Point.
- Advanced knowledge of leading warehousing and transportation practices.
- Experience of working on ERP systems.
- Proficient with inventory reporting systems.
