Role Overview

The Head Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation will lead the strategic, clinical, and operational functions of the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department at Medanta Noida. The role encompasses comprehensive leadership across Inpatient, Outpatient, Homecare, and Neighbourhood Clinic services, ensuring clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and business growth.


The incumbent will initially oversee the Noida unit, with subsequent responsibility for additional existing and upcoming rehabilitation centres within the Medanta network.


Key Responsibilities


Strategic & Operational Leadership:


- Develop and implement the strategic roadmap for the Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation function in alignment with Medantas integrated care philosophy.


- Establish robust operational frameworks, service standards, and key performance benchmarks across all units.


- Drive the formulation and execution of annual business plans, operating budgets, and staffing forecasts.


- Manage P&L responsibility, ensuring cost efficiency, optimal utilization, and revenue growth.


- Identify opportunities for service expansion and innovation to strengthen Medantas rehabilitation portfolio.


Clinical Excellence & Quality Management:


- Ensure consistent delivery of evidence-based, outcome-oriented physiotherapy and rehabilitation care.


- Standardize treatment protocols, clinical documentation, and quality assurance systems across all facilities.


- Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives in line with hospital accreditation standards and best practices.


- Promote adoption of advanced rehabilitation technologies and new therapeutic modalities to enhance clinical outcomes.


Team Leadership & Development:


- Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team of physiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists, and support staff.


- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.


- Design and implement competency development programs to strengthen both clinical and managerial capabilities within the team.


Integration & Collaboration:


- Collaborate closely with consultants, surgeons, nursing teams, and allied health professionals to ensure seamless patient care pathways.


- Integrate hospital-based rehabilitation services with homecare and community-based programs for holistic continuity of care.


- Partner with corporate leadership to establish and operationalize new rehabilitation centres and services.


Patient Experience & Compliance:


- Monitor patient experience metrics and drive initiatives to enhance satisfaction and engagement.


- Ensure adherence to Medantas ethical, clinical safety, and regulatory compliance frameworks.


- Lead internal audits, review clinical outcomes, and drive process improvements based on findings.


Qualifications & Experience:


Education: Masters Degree in Physiotherapy (MPT) or equivalent from a recognized institution.


Experience: 12-18 years of progressive experience in physiotherapy and rehabilitation, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership or departmental head role within a tertiary care or multi-specialty hospital.


Expertise: Proven track record in clinical governance, operational management, and business growth within healthcare.


Skills:


- Strong understanding of evidence-based physiotherapy and modern rehabilitation technology.


- Excellent leadership, people management, and communication skills.


- Strategic planning and execution capability with focus on quality and efficiency.
