Avant Garde is hiring a Manager - General Legal for a leading Financial Markets Infrastructure organisation.

Location: Mumbai

Experience requirement in the client JD: Minimum 8 - 10 years

Reporting to: General Counsel

Candidates must be willing to relocate to another company office on an ad-hoc or permanent basis if required.

Mandatory fit:

B.A. LL.B. with hands-on experience in Companies Act, contract review and management, arbitration/ADR and labour laws. Strong legal research, drafting, negotiation, team management and multi-project execution are essential.

Preferred:

LL.M. or relevant coursework in corporate, commercial, labour, banking/regulatory or state/local laws. Awareness of RBI Act, Banking Act, FEMA, IFSCA and SEZ laws, and civil/criminal procedure including BNS, BNSS and BSA.

Please do not apply if your experience is largely legal coordination, reporting or documentation without substantive contracts, corporate-law, arbitration/ADR, labour-law and team-management responsibility.

- Legal research and drafting

- Agreement review and contract management

- Legislative and regulatory impact assessment

- Compliance support

- Maintenance of legal records/MIS

- Review of team output

- Assistance to the General Counsel

- B.A. LL.B. institution/year and LL.M. or relevant specialist coursework.
