Role Summary:
Loom Solar is seeking a high-energy, results-driven Area Sales Manager to accelerate our mission of bringing cutting-edge solar technology to every corner of India. In this critical field-leadership role, you will be the primary driver of revenue growth within your assigned territory, focusing on the expansion and optimization of our distributor and dealer networks. You are not just a manager; you are a consultant and trust-builder, responsible for converting high-potential "Big Installers" from competitors and ensuring Loom Solar remains the preferred brand in the retail channel. Your daily mission involves high-frequency market engagement, strategic lead generation, and intensive channel partner training to ensure that our solar panels, inverters, and lithium batteries dominate the local market share.
Responsibilities:
- Channel Expansion & Conversion: Identify and onboard "Big Installers" and major distributors from competitors to broaden Loom Solar's market footprint.
- Direct Market Engagement: Execute a rigorous field schedule with a minimum of 10 physical counter visits per day to dealers and retail shops to drive brand visibility and product awareness.
- Sales Opportunity Generation: Conduct strategic cold calling and lead generation activities to identify new dealers and high-value sales opportunities within the territory.
- Distributor Empowerment: Increase sales velocity by delivering comprehensive product training and supporting distributors in high-stakes customer meetings.
- Inventory & Stock Governance: Monitor distributor and dealer stock movement, ensuring a consistent 30-day inventory buffer across all channel partners.
- Trust & Relationship Building: Anchor regular engagement sessions with existing and prospective partners to build long-term brand loyalty and trust.
- Competitive Negotiation: Negotiate effectively with dealers to prioritize Loom Solar products over competitors, particularly in price-sensitive scenarios.
- Sales Operations Management: Prepare precise quotations, manage order requirements, and maintain real-time records of all field visits in the companys sales application.
- Secondary & Tertiary Sales Monitoring: Track and analyze stock movement from distributors to dealers and end-users to ensure healthy ecosystem throughput.
- Market Intelligence & Advocacy: Ensure Loom Solar products are the "first choice" in the channel by staying ahead of competitor offerings and market trends.
- Channel Partner Training: Conduct large-scale distributor/dealer meets and structured training programs to align the channel with Loom Solars innovative product roadmap.
Technical Requirements:
- Sales Application Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to use CRM and mobile sales applications for real-time tracking, reporting, and lead management.
- Solar Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of the technical specifications of Mono-Perc Solar Panels, Lithium Batteries, and Inverter technologies.
- Inventory Management: Practical knowledge of inventory turnover ratios and stock-ageing analysis within a retail distribution environment.
- Quotation Engineering: Ability to quickly generate accurate technical and commercial quotations based on specific customer load requirements.
- Channel Analytics: Proficiency in analyzing secondary and tertiary sales data to identify market gaps and expansion opportunities.

- Commercial Acumen: Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, specifically within the Indian retail and SME solar sector.
- D2C & Retail Mindset: Deep understanding of the D2C brand journey and the importance of rapid response times in a competitive market.
