About the Opportunity:

A reputed law firm in Delhi is seeking a skilled and experienced Civil & Commercial Litigation Associate to join its team. This is a super urgent opening for a lawyer with a strong background in civil and commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), excellent legal drafting and research skills, and a proven track record of handling complex litigation matters independently.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and oversee all stages of civil and commercial litigation, from initial case assessment and strategy development to final resolution.

- Draft and review a wide range of legal documents, including plaints, written statements, applications, petitions, appeals, and legal notices.

- Conduct thorough legal research on various points of law and factual issues to support case strategy and arguments.

- Appear and argue before various judicial and quasi-judicial forums, including High Courts, District Courts, Tribunals, and Commissions.

- Represent clients in arbitration and mediation proceedings.

- Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and risks, and provide strategic counsel on how to proceed with their cases.

- Collaborate with senior partners and other associates to develop innovative legal solutions.

- Maintain accurate case files, records, and client communications.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university.

- A Master's degree in Law (LL.M.) is preferred but not mandatory.

- Minimum of 5-7 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in civil and commercial litigation.

- Demonstrable experience handling cases before High Courts and District Courts in Delhi.

- Strong knowledge of civil laws, including the Code of Civil Procedure (CPC), Contract Act, Specific Relief Act, and relevant commercial statutes.

- Exceptional legal drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Ability to work independently, manage multiple cases simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.

- Proactive, detail-oriented, and a strong team player.
