Role overview
- Lead the foreclosure legal operations team supporting major bank and servicer clients, ensuring accurate and timely handling of judicial and non-judicial foreclosure files.
- Act as the primary operational and strategic contact for key banking clients, coordinating closely with partners, attorneys, and global stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end foreclosure file lifecycle: referral intake, document review, title update coordination, pleading preparation, filing, hearing support, sale, and post-sale processes.
- Ensure all actions comply with applicable foreclosure laws, court rules, client guidelines, and firm policies, including strict adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Supervise drafting and review of legal documents (complaints, motions, affidavits, notices of default/sale, settlement documents) prepared by the Offshore team for attorney sign-off.
- Coordinate closely with title companies, trustees, process servers, publication vendors, and auctioneers to keep files moving and resolve breaks or defects.
- Monitor portfolio metrics (cycle time by stage, hearings missed, dismissals, re-filings, curtailment risk, client scorecards) and implement process improvements and remediation plans.
- Own client operational governance: attend client review calls, respond to escalations, manage audits, and support RFPs and expansion opportunities.
People and operations leadership
- Lead a Offshore-based team of managers, team leads, paralegal/analyst staff, and support roles focused on foreclosure and default support for multiple jurisdictions.
- Define and enforce SOPs, checklists, and control frameworks for document accuracy, verification, and evidence handling to reduce legal and reputational risk.
- Drive training and specialization by state/country, procedure type (judicial vs non-judicial), and client-specific workflows and tools.
- Partner with firm IT/operations to enhance case-management systems, automation, document templates, and reporting for large-bank clients.
