Legal Counsel - FMCG | Delhi | Urgent

We are urgently hiring a Legal Counsel for a leading FMCG company based in Delhi. The role is based at the client's Delhi office.

Level : A3-A4 (3- 8 years PQE)

Location : Delhi (candidates currently based in Delhi only)

Industry : FMCG (mandatory)/ Law Firm with extensive FMCG Experience

Role Overview :

A hands-on legal role covering the full spectrum of in-house legal functions for an FMCG business - from regulatory and product compliance to commercial contracting, IP, labour, and dispute management.

Key Responsibilities :

Product & Regulatory Advisory (FSSAI) :

- Legal guidance on product claims, labelling, advertising, and packaging in line with the FSS Act and applicable regulations

Contracting & Commercial :

- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements across supply chain, procurement, vendor, customer, distributor, and institutional sales

Channel & Distribution :

- Legal support for online and offline channels including modern trade, e-commerce, and institutional sales

Compliance & Governance :

- Ensure adherence to applicable laws, internal policies, and regulatory frameworks; drive compliance programs and audit functions

Intellectual Property :

- IP portfolio management in coordination with external law firms across India and international jurisdictions

Labour & Employment :

- Advise on employment matters, disciplinary actions, and statutory compliance under labour laws

Litigation & Dispute Management :

- Handle pre-litigation matters including drafting and managing legal notices

Candidate Profile :

- 3-8 years of post-qualification experience

- Background strictly from : (a) in-house legal roles in FMCG companies, or (b) law firms with dedicated FMCG/consumer goods practice
