KRBL - General Manager - Legal

As Head Legal, key responsibility includes:

- Coordinating with law firms for briefing and understanding legal issues and repercussions of litigations involved and then taking decisions accordingly to achieve the given goals;

- Maintaining liaison and briefing designated Senior Advocates on IPR and other vital issues and coordinating with law firms for this purpose;

- Possess in-depth knowledge of the code of criminal procedure (CRPC) and its practical application in handling Corporate, regulatory and litigation matters.

- Advising management on FSSAI, Legal Metrology, food laws and various notifications/circulars/orders issued from time to time by the Central Government, State Governments, National Green Tribunal and other various authorities besides all the legal and corporate issues;

- Managing and organizing entire Litigation portfolio related to Intellectual Property Rights, (Trademark and Copyright) besides Writ petitions, Recovery suits, Injunction, Infringement / Passing off, Arbitration, Corporate issues, Criminal complaints of all nature including Cyber Crime, Essential Commodities and Negotiable Instruments, right from original level up to Supreme Court;

- Heading and mentoring legal team to ensure timely compliance of IPR issues related to registration of trademarks/copyrights, filing oppositions, counter statements, written submissions, evidence etc. to be filed in trademark registry and Intellectual Property Appellate Board (IPAB).

- Drafting and vetting all kinds of Corporate Contracts and Agreements including Confidentiality Agreement, Non-Disclosure Agreement, Distributorship Agreement, Agency Agreement, Lease Deeds, License Agreement and MOU etc.

- Drafting Cease and Desist Notices/letters for infringement and passing off of various trademarks and copyright and serving them to infringing parties situated worldwide;

- Vetting law suits, legal notices, Complaints, C&D letters, Evidence, Written submissions etc. to be submitted in international litigation;

- Drafting and vetting Suits, Written Statements, Counter Claims, Applications, Appeals and other Pleadings, Written submissions, Evidence and Documents for filing in Courts / Tribunals.
