Role Overview:

Wobble Smartphones, introduced by Indkal Technologies, is in the early growth stage of its mobile business and is rapidly expanding its presence in the Indian market. The Regional Sales Manager - General Trade (GT) will be responsible for building and strengthening the General Trade distribution network, driving retail penetration, and accelerating sales through traditional mobile retail channels.

This role requires a hands-on sales leader with strong GT experience in the mobile or consumer electronics industry, capable of establishing a strong distributor-dealer-retailer ecosystem in the assigned region while building the brand's presence from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

1. GT Market Expansion & Sales Growth

- Drive regional sales for Wobble smartphones through the General Trade (GT) channel.

- Develop and execute GT-focused sales strategies to expand market presence.

- Achieve primary and secondary sales targets for the region.

- Identify and develop high-potential GT markets and retail clusters.

2. Distribution & Channel Development

- Appoint and manage regional distributors and sub-distributors.

- Expand the retail network including mobile stores, independent dealers, and local handset retailers.

- Ensure optimal stock availability, distributor ROI, and healthy inventory movement.

- Strengthen relationships with key GT partners and trade influencers in the region.

3. Retail Penetration & Trade Activation

- Drive retail coverage and outlet reach across GT channels.

- Ensure visibility, branding, merchandising, and promoter engagement at retail outlets.

- Implement trade schemes, retail incentives, and sell-out programs to drive product movement.

- Conduct regular market visits, distributor reviews, and retailer engagement activities.

4. Sales Team Development

- Build and manage the regional GT sales structure including Area Sales Managers, Territory Sales Managers, and field executives.

- Guide and mentor the team on GT sales execution, distributor management, and retail engagement.

- Monitor team productivity and drive market coverage efficiency.

5. Market Intelligence & Business Planning

- Track competitor activities, pricing, and channel schemes in the smartphone market.

- Provide market insights and demand forecasts to central leadership.

- Support regional launch plans for new smartphone models.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Primary and secondary sales achievement

- Distributor network expansion

- Retail outlet coverage in GT channel

- Sell-through and stock rotation efficiency

- Retail visibility and brand presence

- Regional revenue growth

Qualification & Experience:

- Master's degree in business, Sales, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).

- 8-12 years of experience in GT sales within smartphones, telecom, or consumer electronics.

- Proven experience in distributor management and GT channel development.

- Strong understanding of mobile retail ecosystem and handset distribution networks.
