Strategic HR Business Partner (HRBP)

Location: Bangalore (On-site)

Experience: 4 to 8 Years

Target Pedigree: XLRI (Jamshedpur/Delhi) - PGDHRM / PGDM (Mandatory)

Budget: Up to 30 LPA

Domain: Fintech / E-commerce / Product SaaS

The Mission: Engineering High-Performance Culture

As an HRBP, you are the strategic bridge between the organizations people and its business goals. You will work directly with department heads (Engineering, Product, or Growth) to build a workforce that is agile, high-performing, and culturally aligned. This is a role for an HR professional who understands P&Ls as well as they understand people psychology. You will be responsible for translating business challenges into "People Solutions."

Strategic Responsibilities

1. Talent Strategy & Workforce Planning

- Organizational Design: Partner with leaders to design lean, scalable team structures. You will lead the "Manpower Planning" exercise, ensuring that headcount growth is aligned with revenue milestones.

- Succession Planning: Identify "high-potential" talent (HiPos) and build robust succession pipelines for mission-critical roles.

- Competency Mapping: Define the technical and behavioral competencies required for each level in your assigned business unit, creating a clear "Map to Success" for every employee.

2. Performance & Total Rewards Strategy

- High-Performance Culture: Drive the Performance Management System (PMS). You will move beyond annual reviews to foster a culture of "Continuous Feedback" and OKR (Objectives and Key Results) alignment.

- Variable Pay & Incentives: Work with the Rewards team to design incentive structures (Sales commissions, Engineering bonuses, ESOP vesting) that drive the right business behaviors.

- Calibration Leadership: Lead the performance calibration meetings for your business unit, ensuring fairness, transparency, and a high bar for excellence.

3. Change Management & Culture

- Culture Evangelism: Be the custodian of the companys core values. You will design initiatives that keep the "Startup Spirit" alive as the company scales from 500 to 2000+ employees.

- Employee Engagement 2.0: Use data-driven insights (from eNPS and engagement surveys) to identify friction points and implement interventions that reduce attrition and increase "Sense of Belonging."

- Conflict Resolution: Act as a neutral consultant for complex interpersonal issues and grievance handling, ensuring a legally compliant and psychologically safe workplace.

4. Data-Driven HR (People Analytics)

- Metrics that Matter: Monitor and report on key people metricsAttrition heatmaps, Time-to-Hire, Cost-per-Hire, and Diversity ratios.

- Predictive Analytics: Use data to predict attrition trends and proactively intervene with at-risk talent.

Required Pedigree & Skills

- Education: MBA/PGDM in HR from XLRI (Mandatory). We are looking for the analytical rigor and "HR Excellence" that is a hallmark of the XL alumni.

- Experience: 4-8 years of experience as an HRBP or in a Generalist HR role, preferably within a fast-paced technology or product company.

- Business Acumen: Ability to understand the business model, the competitive landscape, and the product roadmap. You must be able to "speak the language" of the business leaders you support.

- Communication: Exceptional storytelling and negotiation skills. You should be able to challenge a Founder or a VP of Engineering with data and empathy.
