About the Role:

We are looking for a highly experienced Head - Payroll to lead the payroll function for ~3,500 employees, including executives and top management. The incumbent will be responsible for end-to-end payroll operations, compliance, process improvement, and transitioning payroll operations from manual systems to Drawinbox.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Management:

- End-to-end payroll processing for all employees, including executives and top management.

- Ensure accurate and timely payroll disbursement, including salaries, bonuses, incentives, and reimbursements.

- Handle complex payroll components for senior management, tax deductions, and statutory compliance.

System Implementation & Automation:

- Lead the migration of manual payroll processes to Drawinbox.

- Define payroll policies, standard operating procedures, and automation workflows.

- Ensure data integrity and smooth integration with HRIS and finance systems.

Compliance & Reporting:

- Ensure adherence to all statutory requirements (Income Tax, PF, Gratuity, Professional Tax, etc.).

- Coordinate with auditors and finance teams for payroll audits.

- Generate reports and dashboards for management review.

Team Management & Collaboration:

- Lead a team of payroll professionals.

- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams for seamless operations.

- Train and upskill team members on payroll tools and compliance updates.

Process Improvement:

- Identify gaps in existing payroll processes and implement best practices.

- Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and timeliness in payroll operations.

Desired Profile & Qualifications:

- Experience: Min 15 years in payroll management, preferably with experience handling large employee bases and senior management payroll.

Skills & Knowledge:

- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, statutory compliance, and taxation.

- Experience in payroll software implementation (preferably Drawinbox or similar systems).

- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

- Strong analytical and process improvement capabilities.

Education: MBA (HR/Finance) or equivalent. Certification in Payroll (CIPP/CPP) will be an advantage.
