Position : Head - Legal Location : Corporate Office, Bangalore Industry Preference : Real Estate, Construction, or Hospitality Language Requirement : Proficiency in Kannada (mandatory) About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head - Legal to lead the legal function for a diversified business group with interests in real estate, construction, and hospitality. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing all legal aspects of the business, ensuring compliance, and mitigating risks while supporting business growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the legal function, providing strategic guidance on all corporate, contractual, and statutory matters. - Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including sale deeds, development agreements, JV agreements, lease agreements, and vendor contracts. - Oversee litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution processes, coordinating with external counsel when required. - Ensure compliance with RERA, local municipal regulations, labour laws, and other applicable statutes. - Provide legal opinions and risk assessments for projects and transactions. - Advise management on land acquisition, property due diligence, and title verification. - Manage all legal documentation related to project approvals, licenses, and permits. - Train and mentor internal teams on legal compliance and contract management. Key Requirements: - LLB/LLM from a recognized university. - 15-25 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in the real estate, construction, or hospitality sector. - Proven expertise in property laws, RERA compliance, and contract management. - Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills. - Excellent command of Kannada and English (spoken and written). - Ability to work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
