Head - Finance - Plant - ICWA/CA

Role & responsibilities :

Costing, Controls & Reporting :

- Ensure accurate product costing, cost accounting, variance analysis, and cost audit compliance.

- Lead internal MIS reporting for the plant and contribute to corporate dashboards, KPIs, and exception-based reporting.

- Maintain and continuously improve internal financial controls (IFC) and ensure adherence to financial governance frameworks.

Accounting & Compliance Oversight :

- Oversee accounting activities including vendor payments, payroll, export accounting, cash accounting, bank reconciliation, fixed assets, and balance sheet schedules.

- Manage statutory, internal, and cost audit interactions and ensure timely closure of open items with high governance.

- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOX / IFC standards, and regulatory requirements.

Strategic Business Partnership :

- Partner with the Plant Head and cross-functional leadership to enable operational and financial excellence and to achieve P&L targets.

- Collaborate with business and plant teams to achieve revenue targets, throughput, and T-OE.

- Provide financial insights and analytics to support business decisions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Planning, Budgeting & Performance Management :

- Lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process for the plant and track performance against targets.

Accounting & Compliance Oversight :

- Oversee accounting activities including vendor payments, payroll, export accounting,cash accounting, bank reconciliation, fixed assets, and balance sheet schedules. Manage statutory, internal, and cost audit interactions and ensure timely closure of

open items with high governance.

- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOX / IFC standards, and regulatory requirements.

Operational Excellence & Decision Support :

- Drive analytical value-added insights to support productivity improvements and operational optimization.

- Support digital automation and process simplification initiatives across finance processes.

- Lead finance review mechanisms for the plant, ensuring timely reporting and escalations.

People Management :

- Lead, mentor, and develop the plant finance team, ensuring strong capability building, performance management, and succession planning.

- Foster a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement.

Preferred candidate profile :

- A qualified ICWA or Chartered Accountant

- ICWA or CA with 10+ years of experience, at least three years experience as Plant Finance Head

- Experience in FMCD/FMCG/Retail manufacturing industry will be an added advantage

- Exposure to SAP / Oracle / ERP financial systems

- Understanding of Plant Costing, Financial Statements & applicable tax related aspects
