About the Role:

We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Head of Finance to join our founding team and lead the financial strategy, planning, and execution of a fast-growing performance footwear and D2C business.

The role will play a key part in supporting the company growth from domestic scale to global expansion, with responsibility across corporate finance, working capital, manufacturing finance, import-export operations, compliance, fundraising, and investor reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute the company long-term financial strategy aligned with business growth plans.

- Lead budgeting, forecasting, MIS, cash-flow management, and financial planning.

- Manage working capital efficiently across manufacturing, logistics, procurement, and D2C operations.

- Own import-export compliance, documentation, customs, duties, and DGFT-related financial requirements.

- Oversee procurement payments, vendor financing, inventory costing, landed-cost calculations, and pricing strategy.

- Drive internal controls, risk management, and cost-optimization initiatives.

- Manage P&L, cost structures, cash flow, and financial performance for a physical-product/manufacturing business.

- Support fundraising, banking relationships, investor reporting, and audits.

- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, income tax, corporate law, and statutory filings.

- Build, mentor, and lead the finance team as the organization scales.

- Partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights for business decisions.

What We're Looking For:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).

- 5 - 12 years of total experience, with at least 3 years in a finance leadership role.

- Experience in manufacturing, consumer, retail, e-commerce, or D2C businesses preferred.

- Hands-on experience in import-export operations or global supply-chain finance.

- Strong understanding of cost structures, P&L ownership, working capital, and cash-flow management.

- Experience working with physical-product brands or manufacturing businesses.

- Proficiency in ERP systems, financial modelling, MIS reporting, and financial analysis.

- Strong business partnering, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
