Job Purpose


- To lead and manage all legal matters related to labour laws, industrial relations, statutory compliances, litigation management, employee disputes, and to provide legal guidance to the organization.


- The role will also handle trademark matters, FSSAI and support business teams by minimizing legal risk and ensuring adherence to applicable laws.

Key Responsibilities


- Handle all matters related to labour laws, employment regulations, standing orders, employee policies, and industrial disputes.


- Represent the organization before Labour Courts, Industrial Tribunals, conciliation officers, labour departments, and other statutory authorities.

- Manage labour cases, arbitration proceedings, employee claims, and disputes effectively to safeguard organizational interest.


- Coordinate with HR & Operations teams for labour-related advisory and statutory compliance.

- Handle and supervise litigation related to labour, civil, contractual, and regulatory matters.

- Coordinate with external advocates, law firms, and consultants, review case status and strategies.

- Draft, review, and finalize legal notices, replies, affidavits, petitions, and written statements.

- Ensure timely filing, documentation, and representation in all matters.

- Ensure legal compliance with industry-specific regulatory frameworks including FSSAI requirements.

- Handle trademark registration, protection, oppositions, renewals, and infringement issues.

- Coordinate with IP attorneys for filings, defense, and enforcement actions.

- Provide proactive legal opinion to management on business decisions and risk mitigation.

Education


- LLB / LLM from a recognized university.

- Additional specialization in Labour Law / Corporate Law preferred.

Experience


- 17-20 years of strong experience in legal domain.

- Mandatory strong exposure to Labour Law & Industrial Disputes.

- Proven experience in Litigation handling.

- Experience in manufacturing / FMCG / large industrial organization will be an added advantage.

Key Skills & Competencies


- Excellent knowledge of Indian Labour Laws & regulatory framework.

- Strong litigation management capability.

- Sound understanding of statutory compliance requirements.

- Exposure to FSSAI and IP/Trademark laws.
