Job Summary:
We are seeking an accomplished and visionary General Manager & Business Development to lead our Company's growth and expansion initiatives. This role is responsible for developing market entry strategies, executing real estate acquisitions, and driving brand expansion across key geographies.
- Will oversee end-to-end business development operations, including market mapping, feasibility studies, negotiations, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with deep expertise in real estate and business expansion, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in managing large-scale development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Market Development
- Define and implement market entry strategies for new cities and regions.
- Business Expansion
- Drive feasibility studies of shortlisted sites in collaboration with Technical and Project Teams.
- Assess fair market value of properties using current transactions, market intelligence, and benchmarking.
Real Estate & Negotiation:
- Finalize and approve Real Estate (RE) / Legal packages with all techno-commercial details for board approval.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Oversee coordination between internal teams (Projects, Legal, Finance, Operations) and external stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery of new stores/restaurants.
- Ensure property owners receive timely payments (rentals/security deposits) to avoid any operational hindrances.
- Partner with tenants and project teams to monitor interior fit-outs and resolve issues proactively.
Leadership & Governance
- Build and manage a high-performing BD team to support expansion and pipeline management.
- Present business cases, feasibility reports, and expansion proposals to the Board and Senior Leadership Team.
Qualifications:
- MBA Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field.
- 12-18 years of progressive experience in business development, real estate acquisition, or retail expansion, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven success in negotiating large-scale real estate transactions and driving multi-city business expansion.
