About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Financial Controller to lead the finance and accounting function for an India-based entity that is part of a global organization. This is a senior leadership role involving financial oversight, compliance, reporting, and strategic support to business operations, along with close interaction with international stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee end-to-end accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), General Ledger, and Cost Accounting

- Manage intercompany accounting and cross-border transactions, including cost allocation and service billing

- Ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations and intercompany agreements (cost-plus model)

- Prepare and present monthly financial statements and MIS reports to management

- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes

- Ensure compliance with Indian statutory requirements including Companies Act, taxation, and regulatory filings

- Manage statutory audits, internal audits, and liaise with auditors and tax consultants

- Ensure strong internal controls, financial accuracy, and integrity of reporting

- Act as a key point of contact for global finance teams for reporting and compliance matters

- Provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making

- Lead and mentor the finance team, driving performance and development

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting

- Experience in handling intercompany transactions and transfer pricing

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

- Strong leadership and team management capabilities

- Ability to work in a multinational and matrixed environment

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/accounting systems

Education & Experience

- Chartered Accountant (CA) - Mandatory

- 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance

- Prior experience in a Controller / Finance Head / Senior Finance role preferred

- Experience working with multinational organizations preferred

- Exposure to cross-border transactions and global reporting is highly desirable

- Additional international certifications (CPA / ACCA or equivalent) are a plus
