Role Overview
The Head - Total Rewards will act as the Centre of Excellence for compensation, benefits, payroll governance, HR policies, and HR systems. The role partners with HRBPs, Finance, TA, and leadership to design and implement reward strategies that attract, retain, and motivate talent while ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
Compensation & Benefits (C&B) Management
- Drive market benchmarking and annual compensation surveys.
- Design and administer variable pay and incentive programs.
- Lead annual compensation review and variable payout cycles.
- Benchmark and update HR policies, frameworks, and procedures.
- Drive implementation and adherence across units/plants.
- Act as HR policy CoE and advisor to HR teams and managers.
- Ensure effective communication of HR policies organization-wide.
- Oversee end-to-end payroll operations ensuring accuracy and timelines.
- Ensure statutory compliance (PF, tax, gratuity, NPS, etc.).
- Liaise with Finance/Treasury for payroll funding readiness.
- Manage investment declarations and tax regime changes.
- Coordinate PF/Gratuity payouts with trustees, auditors, and advisors.
- Support internal/external audits on payroll and HR processes.
- Ensure compliance reporting and closure of audit observations.
- Maintain internal financial controls over employee lifecycle data.
- Govern HR systems, employee data, and HR operations processes.
- Manage benefits administration and employee queries.
- Oversee onboarding/offboarding and employee records governance.
- Track people cost, headcount, and HR metrics/analytics.
- Ensure HR data integrity through systems and process controls.
- Own and govern Workline HRIS instance and workflows.
- Drive HR digitalization and process automation initiatives.
- Lead HR tech vendor selection and implementation.
- Ensure adoption of HR platforms across operating units.
- Set goals, allocate responsibilities, and review team performance.
- Coach and develop team capability in rewards and HR operations.
