Director - Employment Law
Location: Bangalore / Hyderabad / Mumbai / Gurgaon / Kolkata
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the trusted legal advisor on employment and labour law across India, Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur, and Manila.
- Lead complex workforce restructures, investigations, employee transfers, and M&A employment due diligence.
- Manage litigation, arbitrations, and external legal counsel.
- Drive employment compliance, policy harmonisation, and legal risk management across APAC.
- Coach and lead a high-performing legal team while partnering with senior regional stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate:
- LLB / LLM, preferably from premier institutes (NLSIU / NALSAR / NLIU / GNLU / NUJS / HNLU / NLU Delhi / NLU).
- 13+ years of post-qualification experience.
- At least 5 years of experience as in-house counsel with an MNC, GCC, or professional services organisation.
- Deep expertise in Indian employment law with exposure to cross-border legal matters.
- Commercially minded, pragmatic, and confident in influencing senior leadership.
- Proven people leader with experience managing legal professionals.
