About the Role:

We are hiring an experienced Legal Counsel / Manager for a temporary back-fill assignment within our India Legal Team. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial and technology contracts (Cloud, SaaS, IaaS, Software Licensing, Outsourcing, Consulting, Data Processing, etc.), and advising on global regulatory frameworks.

You will work closely with stakeholders across APAC, UK, EU, and North America, providing agile, business-aligned legal support in a fast-paced, global environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including Cloud Outsourcing, SaaS, IaaS, Licensing, Consulting, Facilities, Staff Augmentation.

- Advise on regulatory frameworks (DORA, ESMA, EBA, MAS, PRA) in relation to technology and outsourcing contracts.

- Provide legal support for onboarding third-party AI and GenAI solutions.

- Support procurement teams on RFPs, vendor engagements, and disputes.

- Collaborate with cross-border teams on complex legal issues and contract negotiations.

- Contribute to knowledge sharing, process improvements, and adoption of legal tech.

Key Skills & Requirements:

- LLB with 9-12 years PQE, preferably in-house within MNCs (Financial Services, Asset Management, IT).

- Strong experience in commercial & technology contracts (Cloud, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, Outsourcing, Licensing).

- Working knowledge of global outsourcing regulations.

- Familiarity with AI, GenAI, Data Processing, Platform Integration.

- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

- High ethical standards, strong commercial judgment, and business acumen.

- Experience with contract management systems, e-signature platforms, legal tech is a plus.
