Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned financial leader to serve as the Chief Financial Officer based in Chennai, tasked with steering the companys fiscal strategy through its next phase of hyper-growth. In this capacity, you will act as a strategic partner to the CEO and the Board, overseeing the entire finance function while spearheading high-stakes initiatives in capital markets and corporate finance. You will work closely with institutional investors, investment bankers, and internal leadership teams to ensure robust financial health and transparency. Your leadership will be pivotal in shaping the companys long-term value proposition, driving investor confidence, and executing complex financial maneuvers that position the organization for a successful public market entry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end fund-raising mandates by engaging with private equity and venture capital firms to secure the capital necessary for scaling operations.
- Direct the entire IPO preparation process, including regulatory compliance, financial restructuring, and equity story development to ensure a seamless transition to the public markets.
- Manage complex capital market transactions by collaborating with merchant bankers and legal advisors to optimize the companys capital structure and liquidity.
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and risk management frameworks to provide the board with actionable insights that drive sustainable business outcomes.
- Cultivate strong relationships with external stakeholders, including analysts and regulatory bodies, to maintain market credibility and ensure adherence to corporate governance standards.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrate deep expertise in corporate finance, with a proven track record of navigating the nuances of capital markets and successfully closing large-scale funding rounds.
- Exhibit exceptional communication and negotiation skills, capable of articulating complex financial narratives to sophisticated investors and board members.
- Possess a strong educational foundation, typically a Chartered Accountant or an MBA from a premier business school, complemented by 15 - 20 years of progressive experience in finance leadership.
- Display high adaptability and a hands-on leadership style, comfortable working in a high-pressure, on-site environment in Chennai while managing cross-functional teams.
- Maintain a strategic mindset that balances rigorous financial discipline with the agility required to support rapid business expansion and market entry.
