About the Role
Our client is looking for a Business Finance Head to partner closely with founders and product/ business teams to drive financial decision-making at a fast-scaling consumer platform.
This role sits at the intersection of finance, product, and business, and is focused on driving growth, improving unit economics, and building a strong financial backbone for a company operating across payments, rewards, and commerce.
This is a high ownership roleequal parts strategy and execution.
Responsibilities:
Business Finance & Strategic Partnering:
- Act as a finance partner to product, growth, and business teams
- Drive decision-making across pricing, rewards economics, and monetization
- Evaluate new initiatives (fintech products, commerce categories, partnerships)
Revenue & Unit Economics:
- Own and track key business metrics: revenue, contribution margins, CAC, LTV, payback
- Build and refine unit economics models across fintech (UPI/cards) and commerce layers
- Identify levers to improve profitability and efficiency
Planning & Forecasting:
- Lead annual planning, budgeting, and rolling forecasts
- Build scenario models for growth, category expansion, and new product launches
- Track performance vs plan and drive course correction
Data & Insights:
- Build dashboards and reporting frameworks for leadership
- Translate data into actionable insights for business teams
- Work closely with analytics to ensure strong data hygiene and visibility
Stakeholder Management:
- Work with senior leadership and investors on financial reporting and insights
- Support board discussions with sharp, data-backed narratives
- Align finance with overall business strategy
What Were Looking For
- 7-10 years of experience in business finance / FP&A roles
- Background across high-growth startups
- Experience in consumer internet / fintech / e-commerce is a strong plus
Strong understanding of:
- Unit economics, pricing, and monetization models
- Consumer business metrics (retention, ARPU, CAC/LTV)
- Financial modeling and scenario planning
- Operator mindset not just reporting, but influencing decisions
- High ownership, ability to work in ambiguity
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
