
Territory Sales Manager
Experience: 3-5 Years Location: Nawada, Bihar (On-site) Industry: Fintech / Financial Services / Digital Banking Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields.
Role Summary:
The Territory Sales Manager at airpay vyaapaar is a high-impact leadership role focused on driving financial inclusion and expanding the digital banking footprint in Nawada. You will be responsible for the strategic execution of sales operations, transforming local merchants into community bankers by providing them access to over 50 banking and financial services. This role demands a blend of aggressive Business Development, sophisticated Account Management, and on-ground leadership. You will oversee the entire customer acquisition funnel, manage a local sales force, and ensure that the airpay vyaapaar mission of #AatmanirbharBharat is realized through high merchant engagement and superior customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Territory Expansion & Strategy: Design and implement localized sales strategies to penetrate underserved areas and expand airpay vyaapaar's footprint across Nawada.
- Merchant Acquisition & Empowerment: Identify, onboard, and train local store owners to act as "Neighborhood Bankers," providing them the tools to offer banking and financial services.
- Relationship Management: Build and sustain long-term relationships with key merchants and local stakeholders to ensure high retention and platform usage.
- Team Leadership & Motivation: Oversee and mentor a field sales team, setting clear KPIs, providing on-ground coaching, and driving a high-performance culture.
- Strategic Sales Initiatives: Launch and monitor targeted sales campaigns to achieve month-on-month revenue and acquisition targets.
- Market Trend Analysis: Conduct regular market intelligence activities to stay ahead of regional trends and competitor movements, reporting findings to upper management.
- CRM & Data Integrity: Utilize CRM tools to track lead pipelines, manage merchant accounts, and generate accurate sales forecasts and activity reports.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure a high standard of service delivery, resolving merchant grievances and technical bottlenecks to maintain ecosystem health.
- Financial Literacy Advocacy: Educate community members and small business owners on the benefits of digital financial services, bridging the gap between traditional banking and community needs.
- Operational Reporting: Prepare and present detailed performance dashboards, highlighting growth - areas, risks, and territory milestones to senior leadership.
- Sales Mastery: Proven track record in Sales and Business Development, preferably within the Fintech, Telecom, or FMCG sectors.
- Domain Knowledge: Basic understanding of financial services (AEPS, DMT, Bill Payments, Insurance, and Micro-Lending).
- Leadership Excellence: Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a distributed field sales team to achieve collective goals.
- Communication & Negotiation: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate with small business owners and present to corporate leadership.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing regional market data to develop effective, data-driven sales strategies.
- CRM Proficiency: Hands-on experience with mobile or desktop CRM platforms for real-time sales tracking and reporting.
- Independence: A self-motivated, goal-oriented individual capable of operating independently in a remote territory.
