This position is a member of the Global R&D IT with strong hands-on functional & technical experience successfully implementing R&D solutions for Research / Preclinical Sciences, CMC & Regulatory Affairs. Functional and system administration experience required for Chemical & Lab inventories, Compound Registrations, Electronic Lab notebooks, Library journal reference management solutions. Prefer hands on administration skills configuring and integrating Veeva RIM Vaults as well software development skills (Java, Python). While this position is initially focused on implementing and supporting solutions for Research / Preclinical sciences and CMC, this position offers great opportunities to learn and support other areas and systems in R&D. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Perform duties as assigned on Global R&D IT team to successfully deliver all needed phases (requirements analysis, design, configuration, system integrations) for key projects supporting CMC and Research (eg compound registrations, chemical inventories, electronic lab notebooks) - R&D functional & technical SME leading system (integrations, administration, configurations, design, and development) including all facets of application implementation - Collaborate with technical teams to successfully migrate and integrate R&D internal systems - Provide technical design, development and hands on implementation of R&D system integrations - Collaborate with key business users to understand business requirements for various functions of R&D across geographies. Translate business needs into technical requirements and configurations for system optimization according to industry best practices - Manage IT projects for R&D IT from initiation to implementation ensuring scope, schedule & budget are on track. - Perform other duties as assigned. - Work with teams globally for end-to-end implementation of various GxP systems to ensure compliance with regulations by FDA, EMA and other health agencies - Drives compliance with the IT Quality processes and Viatris SDLC processes, including the IT change management and quality/testing process. - Communicates status of assignments / projects to leadership and manages project issues / risks in a timely manner and appropriately escalates when necessary. - Collaborates with solutions lead and business partners to ensure technologies are meeting business requirements. - Collaborate with IT support teams to maintain deployed solutions and be accountable for system ownership KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: - Hands on experience implementing, configuring and integrating R&D solutions for compound registrations, chemical inventories, library journal reference management solutions, data analysis, Veeva Vault RIM Vaults and other key R&D systems - Hands on experience with AgileBio Lab Collector, Biovia (ELN & CisPro), Benchling ELN, SciFinder, Veeva RIM Registrations & Submissions - Veeva Platform Admin experience for R&D Vaults is preferred - Must have hands on experience with functional and technical analysis of systems supporting R&D - Prefer to have hands on software development skills (Java, Python). - Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry and a good understanding of regulatory processes, compliance, and validation. - Experience with validated GxP environments including implementation, documentation, and change management is required. - Broad technical knowledge, including experience with SaaS in a regulated environment. - Experience with regulatory processes such as submission planning and tracking, registration management, commitment management and content management. - Ability to challenge requirements with key stakeholders to ensure requirements are detailed and properly defined. - Ability to operate in a challenging environment and manage multiple activities, priorities, and deadlines. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Works well in and appreciates the value of a global diverse work environment. - Can see the larger picture and able to identify key issues in complex situations. - This position works with Global R&D teams in US EST, EU, and IST time zones. - Knowledge of project management concepts, practices and procedures as they relate to the delivering IT projects. - Strong oral and written communication skills. Has good attention to detail with a flexible attitude. EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE: - Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 5 years relevant experience with Master's Degree is preferred.
