Responsibilities: 1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the general ledger accounting function. 2. Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure the timely and accurate completion of tasks. 3. Perform and review complex general ledger account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies or issues identified. 4. Ensure adherence to company accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. 5. Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, financial statements and preparation of variance analysis for management reporting. 6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance, tax, and audit, to support their information requirements and provide accurate financial data. 7. Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the general ledger function. 8. Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance and implement necessary adjustments. 9. Lead internal and external audits and make sure it completed before due dates with minimum remarks/observations. 10. Support special projects, such as system implementations or process enhancements, and actively contribute to their successful completion. Requirements: 1. Qualified Chartered Accountant. 2. 8+ years of relevant experience in general ledger accounting, with a track record of progressively increasing responsibilities. 3. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and IND AS. 4. Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems. Experience with Oracle or similar platforms is highly desirable. 5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. 6. Ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders. 7. Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities. 8. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 9. Proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of responsibilities and drive process improvements. 10. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
