We're Hiring: Team Lead, General Ledger Are you an experienced and highly skilled accounting professional with a passion for leading teams and driving financial accuracy? We're looking for a Team Lead, General Ledger to join our dynamic finance team. This role is perfect for a seasoned expert who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to take on a leadership position with significant responsibility. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and mentor a team responsible for the end-to-end General Ledger (GL) process. - Oversee and execute all aspects of month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion. - Demonstrate strong accounting expertise by preparing and proposing journal entries based on complex transactions and unique business situations. - Apply excellent knowledge of accounting treatments to ensure all financial records comply with relevant standards. - Critically review the Income Statement, proactively identifying and investigating anomalies. - Propose and execute rectification and reclassification entries to ensure the accuracy of the Income Statement before it is submitted for controller review. - Manage and perform balance sheet reconciliations, demonstrating technical strength in resolving aged and open items through logical and well-reasoned rectification entries. - Utilize critical thinking and logical reasoning to solve complex accounting problems and improve process efficiency. - Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, providing guidance and support to team members. Qualifications: - 8 to 12 years of overall experience in accounting and finance. - A minimum of 5+ years of dedicated experience in the Record to Report (R2R) and General Ledger (GL) processes. - Proven ability to lead and manage a team. - Exceptional knowledge of accounting principles and treatments. - Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
