Description: About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to lead our business growth in Digital Technology and IIoT Solutions. The ideal candidate will manage a team of sales and proposal engineers, drive customer engagement, identify business opportunities, and ensure timely and successful proposal submissions. This role requires a deep understanding of wireless, IIoT, and industrial automation technologies, along with strong leadership and networking capabilities. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage a team of sales executives and internal proposal engineers to achieve business goals. - Identify and engage with key decision-makers, department heads, and stakeholders across industry segments. - Track and respond to opportunities, tenders, and RFQs, ensuring timely and high-quality proposal submissions. - Collaborate with internal software, NPD (New Product Development), and engineering teams to design optimal technical and commercial solutions. - Build, manage, and deliver on annual sales budgets and targets for self and the team. - Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to drive long-term business growth. - Foster team building, performance management, and motivation to ensure a high-performing sales culture. Requirements: - Bachelors degree in Electronics & Communication (ECE), Instrumentation & Control (ICE), or Computer Science (CS). - 10-15 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in Digital Technology Solutions, IIoT, or Industrial Automation domains. - Proven ability to engage customers, understand their requirements, and convert opportunities into RFQs and closed deals. - Strong knowledge of wireless communication, IIoT architectures, PLC interfaces and protocols, and data exchange formats. - Established industry network and connections across manufacturing and process industries. - Excellent analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills. - Strong oral and written communication abilities. - Willingness to travel as required for customer visits and business development activities.

Key Responsibilities: Strategic Sales Leadership: - Define and execute the sales and marketing strategy for the Automation & Control vertical aligned with corporate objectives. - Formulate and implement robust sales strategies to expand market share and achieve aggressive sales goals for industrial automation products and services (e.g., Automated Assembly and Testing Lines, Weighing and Batching Projects, Robotics, Electro-Mechanical Special Purpose Machines, PLC controlled systems, Industry 4.0, Vision Systems, etc. - Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including market segmentation, target account identification, and strategic partnerships. Team Development & Performance Management: - Recruit, train, coach, and motivate a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. - Establish clear performance metrics, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback to ensure individual and team success. Key Account Management & Business Development: - Build and nurture long-term, strategic relationships with major industrial clients, understanding their operational challenges and positioning our automation solutions as value-added investments. - Lead complex sales cycles from prospecting through negotiation and closing, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business. Technical Acumen & Solution Selling: - Demonstrate comprehensive technical knowledge of industrial automation systems and their applications across various industries (e.g., Automotive, Ceramics, Refractories, Pharma, Food & Beverage, Packaging, etc. - Effectively communicate complex technical concepts and value propositions to both technical and executive-level stakeholders. Market Intelligence & Analysis: - Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs within the industrial automation space. - Leverage market insights to refine sales strategies and identify new product/solution opportunities. Sales Forecasting & Reporting: - Develop accurate sales forecasts, manage sales pipelines using CRM tools, and provide detailed reports on sales activities, performance, and market insights to senior management. Cross-Functional Collaboration: - Collaborate effectively with engineering, product development, marketing, and service teams to ensure seamless solution delivery, customer satisfaction, and continuous product improvement. Contract Negotiation: - Lead and participate in the negotiation of sales contracts, ensuring terms are mutually beneficial and align with company policies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics, or related technical field) is required. An MBA or equivalent business qualification is a plus. Minimum of 12 years of progressive sales experience in the industrial automation industry, with at least 5 years in a sales management or leadership capacity. Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales quotas and driving significant revenue growth. Profound understanding of industrial processes, manufacturing operations, and the application of automation technologies. Exceptional leadership, communication (written and verbal), presentation, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Zoho, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics) and standard business productivity tools. Ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory and occasionally internationally, as required.
