About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Audit Manager specializing in the Statutory Audit domain to join our Audit & Assurance practice. The ideal candidate must be a Chartered Accountant with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience, demonstrating strong expertise in statutory audits of listed companies and large unlisted entities. Prior experience auditing organizations in the manufacturing, IT, and services sectors will be highly preferred. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, manage multiple client engagements, and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements while upholding the highest quality of audit practices. Key Responsibilities: Audit Planning & Execution: - Lead and manage statutory audits of listed and large unlisted entities across diverse industries including manufacturing, IT, and services. - Develop detailed audit plans, strategies, and timelines in alignment with client requirements and statutory deadlines. - Review audit processes to ensure compliance with auditing standards (ISA, IND-AS, IFRS, etc.) and local regulatory frameworks. - Perform risk assessments and establish audit objectives, identifying potential control weaknesses and recommending improvements. Team Management & Leadership: - Supervise, train, and mentor audit associates and seniors, ensuring professional growth and quality output. - Review work performed by the audit team to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to professional standards. - Allocate resources effectively to meet engagement deadlines while maintaining audit quality. Client Engagement & Relationship Management: - Act as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring effective communication and timely resolution of queries. - Present audit findings, financial insights, and recommendations to client management and audit committees. - Build long-term relationships with clients by delivering high-quality service and understanding their evolving needs. Compliance & Reporting: - Ensure statutory audits are executed in line with Companies Act, SEBI regulations, ICAI standards, and other applicable legal requirements. - Prepare and finalize audit reports, financial statements, and supporting documentation. - Stay updated with evolving accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory changes, advising clients and teams accordingly. Quality & Process Improvement: - Implement and monitor internal quality control systems to maintain audit consistency and excellence. - Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement, audit automation, and use of data analytics tools. - Uphold professional ethics, independence, and objectivity in all audit engagements. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Chartered Accountant (CA) with minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience. - Proven track record of handling statutory audits for listed and large unlisted companies. - Sectoral audit exposure to manufacturing, IT, and services industries preferred. - Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IND-AS/IFRS), Companies Act, SEBI regulations, and auditing standards. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - Strong leadership qualities with prior experience in managing teams and client portfolios. - Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and audit committees. - Proficiency in MS Excel, audit tools, and data analysis techniques.
