Role Summary:
We are hiring a Zonal Head - Real Estate Finance to lead and scale the developer lending business for a leading NBFC. The role involves full ownership of business growth, credit quality, and profitability across the assigned zone.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Growth & P&L Ownership:
- Drive disbursements, AUM growth, and profitability for the real estate finance portfolio
- Build a strong pipeline of mid-to-large real estate developers
- Own zone-level P&L, including yields and cost management
2. Developer Acquisition & Relationship Management:
- Originate and manage relationships with reputed developers and promoter groups
- Structure funding solutions such as:
a. Construction Finance
b. Structured Debt / Mezzanine Funding
c. Lease Rental Discounting (LRD)
d. Maintain deep engagement with top clients in the zone
3. Credit & Risk Management:
- Ensure robust underwriting and due diligence in partnership with credit teams
Evaluate:
a. Project feasibility
b. Cash flow strength
c. Approvals & legal risks
d. Maintain high portfolio quality and low NPAs
4. Team Leadership
- Lead and manage a regional team (Sales + RMs + Credit interface)
- Drive performance, productivity, and target achievement
- Build a strong execution-driven culture
5. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Management
- Work closely with:
a. Credit
b. Legal
c. Technical
d. Risk & Collections
e. Ensure smooth sanction to disbursement lifecycle
6. Market Intelligence
- Track real estate trends, regulatory changes (RERA), and competitor activity
- Identify high-growth micro-markets within the zone
Candidate Profile
Experience
- 1216 years in Real Estate Finance / Construction Finance
- Proven track record of managing large developer lending books
Skills & Expertise
Strong knowledge of:
- Real estate project lifecycle
- Financial structuring & cash flow analysis
- Developer evaluation
- Leadership
- Experience managing large regional / zonal teams
- Strong negotiation and deal-closing capability
- Preferred Background
- From NBFCs, HFCs, Banks, Real Estate Funds
- Strong developer network in the zone
