Role Overview :
As a Senior Procurement Contract Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end contract lifecycle for a variety of procurement activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. You will collaborate closely with project teams, engineering, legal, and finance departments to develop, negotiate, and administer contracts that mitigate risk and maximize value. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting project success and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and administer procurement contracts, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating terms and conditions, to ensure alignment with project requirements and company standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies in contract development and execution to protect the company's interests.
- Manage the contract lifecycle, including monitoring performance, resolving disputes, and administering changes, to ensure compliance and minimize disruptions.
- Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to understand procurement needs and develop appropriate contract strategies to support project objectives.
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on contract-related matters, including interpretation, compliance, and best practices, to ensure consistent application of procurement policies.
- Maintain accurate and complete contract documentation, including records of negotiations, approvals, and amendments, to ensure auditability and compliance.
- Lead the development and implementation of contract management processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and negotiate favorable contract terms to achieve cost savings and value creation.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated ability to develop, negotiate, and administer complex procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Proven expertise in risk management, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating contractual risks to protect organizational interests.
- Strong project coordination skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, contract law, and industry best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- 9-15 years of relevant experience in Procurement and Contract Management.
