Key Responsibilities:

- Scrutinize and vet property papers to provide expert legal advice and opinions on non-litigation matters.

- Liaise and follow up with external panel advocates to obtain legal reports, resolve queries, and ensure timely feedback.

- Support the business team by offering legal opinions for creating valid and enforceable mortgages.

- Organize and deliver legal training sessions for branch business teams to enhance understanding of housing finance laws and documentation processes.

- Maintain integrity and transparency in all direct and indirect dealings related to legal transactions.

- Interpret and ensure compliance with housing finance laws, regulations, and organizational guidelines.

- Track and manage Post-Disbursement Documents (PDDs) to ensure timely completion and compliance.

Required Skills:

- Strong knowledge of property laws, housing finance regulations, and mortgage creation processes.

- Excellent legal drafting, scrutiny, and documentation review skills.

- Ability to interpret and apply laws and regulatory guidelines effectively.

- Strong communication and coordination skills for working with internal teams and external advocates.

- Proficiency in tracking and managing legal documentation.

- High ethical standards and a commitment to integrity in legal practices.

Education:

- LL.B (Bachelor of Laws) from a recognized university.

- LL.M (Master of Laws) is an added advantage but not mandatory.

Experience:

- 5-8 years of relevant experience in non-litigation legal advisory, preferably in housing finance, real estate, or banking sectors.

- Prior experience in property paper vetting, mortgage creation, and compliance is highly desirable.
