Business Analyst - Strategic Initiatives


Role Description:


We are looking for a highly analytical and execution-driven professional to join our Collection Strategy team. As a Manager - SI (Collections) , you will play a critical role in developing, analysing, and refining strategies to improve collection efficiency, reduce NPAs, and control costs as we scale operations.


This role involves deep data analysis, collaboration with multiple stakeholders, and a problem-solving mindset to drive measurable improvements in portfolio performance. If you have a background in collections, credit strategy, or risk analytics within a bank, NBFC, or fintech and are looking for a high-impact role, we'd love to connect!

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Development & Execution:

- Support in designing & optimizing collection strategies across different DPD (Days Past Due) buckets.

- Work with the calling & field collection teams to ensure effective execution and adherence to SOPs.

- Assist in developing legal and settlement strategies to maximize recovery and minimize losses.

Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring:

- Analyze portfolio performance, identify trends, and generate insights to refine collection strategies.

- Track key KPIs like recovery rates, DPD transitions, and collection costs to drive decision-making.

- Work with data science teams to build dashboards & reports for real-time tracking of collections performance.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

- Partner with credit, risk, collection operations, and data science teams to align strategies.

- Support senior leadership by preparing insightful reports & presentations on collections performance.

- Engage with cross-functional teams to drive execution of strategic initiatives.

Cost Management & Process Optimization:

- Assist in controlling collection costs while maintaining efficiency as the company scales operations.

- Identify areas for process automation, operational efficiencies, and cost savings within the collections function.

Key Qualifications:

Experience:

- 3-5 years of experience in collection strategy, credit risk, or portfolio analytics within a bank, NBFC, or fintech.

- Strong exposure to data-driven strategy execution in collections or risk management.

- Experience in working on analytical models, dashboards, or process automation is a plus.

Education:

- Full-time MBA or Engineering from a recognized institute.

- Additional certifications in risk analytics, data science, or credit management are a plus.


Skills & Competencies:


Technical & Analytical Skills:

- Strong data analysis skills - ability to derive insights from large datasets.

- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Power BI, and data analytics tools.

- Exposure to CRM systems, collection models, and risk analytics frameworks.

Execution & Collaboration Skills:

- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and drive execution of collection strategies.

- Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Good communication & reporting skills to present insights effectively to leadership.
