Role Overview
We are hiring a Warehouse Manager to lead and manage end-to-end warehouse operations for raw materials, trims, WIP, and finished goods in a high-volume socks/apparel manufacturing setup.
The role involves managing inbound & outbound operations, inventory accuracy, WIP movement, dispatches, warehouse safety, ERP governance, and team leadership.
We are looking for someone with strong process discipline, excellent people management, textile-specific warehouse expertise, and a deep understanding of RM/WIP/FG flows.
Key Responsibilities:
Inbound & Storage Management
- Oversee receiving of RM/PM/consumables with accurate GRN & QA documentation
- Implement structured storage, binning, labeling & 5S-compliant warehouse layout
- Maintain FIFO/FEFO, humidity-controlled yarn storage & proper racking systems
WIP Control & Material Movement
- Ensure timely issuance of materials to knitting, linking, washing & finishing
- Maintain real-time WIP tracking and ERP visibility
- Eliminate production delays through proactive material planning
Inventory & Dispatch Operations
- Maintain 98%+ inventory accuracy through cycle counts & audits
- Manage FG picking, packing, palletizing & dispatch documentation
- Coordinate with PPC, merchandising & logistics for OTIF deliveries
Warehouse Compliance & ERP Governance
- Ensure safety norms, fire protection, audit readiness & SOP adherence
- Maintain accurate ERP postings (GRN, issues, transfers, dispatches)
- Publish MIS reportsstock accuracy, ageing, WIP visibility, dispatch KPIs
People Leadership & Optimization
- Lead a team of supervisors/executives/operators with clear KPIs
- Drive 5S, barcoding, Kanban & continuous improvement initiatives
- Optimize space, manpower & cost through efficient warehouse layout planning
Requirements:
- Graduate in Supply Chain / Logistics / Commerce (MBA preferred)
- 7 to 12 years of warehouse management experience (textile/socks/apparel a must)
- Strong command of RM, WIP, FG handling & dispatch operations
- Proficiency in ERP (SAP / Oracle / Tally / any manufacturing ERP)
- Experience leading mid-sized warehouse teams & high-volume operations
- Strong analytical mindset, discipline, and problem-solving abilities
