Chemical Manufacturing / Greenfield Projects

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Project Head for a reputed Chemical Manufacturing organization based in Gujarat. The role will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of large-scale greenfield projects, from concept, engineering and procurement through construction, commissioning, start-up, and operational readiness.

Job Highlights:

- BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory

- 25+ years of overall experience

- Strong experience in Chemical / Specialty Chemical / Fertilizer manufacturing

- Proven experience handling large-scale greenfield projects

- Experience managing CAPEX projects in the range of INR 1,500 - 2,000 Cr

- Current CTC of 60 LPA+ preferred

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead complete end-to-end project execution from concept and engineering through commissioning and start-up.

- Drive Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning & Start-up (EPCC) activities.

- Own project planning, execution strategy, budgets, timelines, quality, and risk management.

- Manage large-scale CAPEX projects with budgets of approximately INR 1,500 - 2,000 Cr.

- Coordinate with EPC partners, contractors, consultants, technology partners, and internal stakeholders.

- Lead and manage large multidisciplinary project teams.

- Ensure effective project scheduling, cost control, resource planning, and execution.

- Oversee construction activities and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and project timelines.

- Lead plant commissioning, start-up, and operational readiness activities.

- Identify project risks and implement appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.

- Ensure seamless transition from project execution to successful plant operations.

- Provide strategic leadership and ensure overall project objectives are achieved.

Required Skills & Experience:

- BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering Mandatory

- 25+ years of overall professional experience

- Extensive experience in Chemical, Specialty Chemical, or Fertilizer manufacturing

- Strong track record of managing large-scale greenfield projects

- End-to-end project ownership covering Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and Start-up

- Experience managing INR 1,500 - 2,000 Cr CAPEX projects

- Strong understanding of complex manufacturing environments, including continuous and batch processes

- Proven experience in project planning, cost management, scheduling, quality, risk management, and execution

- Strong experience managing EPC contractors, consultants, technology partners, and large project teams

- Proven expertise in plant commissioning, start-up, and operational readiness

- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills

Preferred Candidate Profile:

- Experience in Fertilizer / Specialty Chemical projects will be an added advantage.

- Prior experience working in Dahej, Gujarat, or other major integrated chemical manufacturing clusters will be preferred.

- Candidates who have successfully delivered large-scale greenfield manufacturing projects will be preferred.

- Candidates with a current CTC of 60 LPA+ are preferred.
