Role & responsibilities
Vice President Operation (US IT Staffing)
- You will be responsible for operational strategy, driving recruitment efficiency, client account growth, and profitability & for the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, leading large teams (often offshore in India& onshore in the US), and driving client service delivery for US-based clients.
- Oversee day-to-day functions, ensure compliance with US staffing regulations, manage P&L, and lead teams to meet high-volume contractual, temporary, and permanent placement targets.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Leadership:
- Take complete ownership of end-to-end delivery across multiple enterprise and system integrator (SI) clients including W2, C2C, and C2H positions, ensuring high-volume, quality submissions.
- Ensure timely and quality fulfilment of client requirements, adhering to agreed SLAs.
- Drive scalability and efficiency in hiring processes through optimization and tech-enabled solutions.
P&L & Financial Management:
- Responsible for staffing business center profitability, margin management, and cost optimization.
- Drive revenue growth and profitability through strategic resource allocation, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.
- Own the delivery P&L drive revenue targets and profitability for the domestic staffing vertical.
- Prepare accurate forecasting, budgeting, and reporting metrics.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to align delivery capacity with business development goals.
- Manages the operational budget and drives P&L responsibility to maximize profitability.
Client & Stakeholder Management:
- Interacting with US clients, MSPs, and Account Managers to understand requirements, negotiate SLAs, and manage expectations.
- Act as a senior point of contact for major domestic clients, particularly large SIs.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and trust through proactive communication and problem resolution.
- Identify and convert opportunities within existing accounts into larger revenue engagements.
US IT Staffing Focus:
- Identifies new US clients, manages account development, negotiates contracts, and fosters vendor/client relations (e.g., T1 Vendors, Implementation Partners).
Recruitment Strategy:
- Sets recruiting strategies to meet staffing demands for contract and FTE positions.
Performance Metrics (KPIs):
- Monitors key performance indicators, such as time-to-fill, submittal-to-hire ratios, and revenue per employee.
Team Management:
- Lead, coach, and mentor large teams of recruiters, team leads, account managers and Leading large delivery teams (50-100+ recruiters) across geographies, including hiring, training, mentoring, and managing performance.
- Build a performance-driven culture with high accountability and recognition.
- Identify skill gaps and implement upskilling initiatives.
Operational Leadership:
- Establishing recruitment methodologies, processes, and tools to enhance productivity and reduce delivery time.
- Develops and executes strategies to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and productivity.
Travel & Market Presence:
- Regular travel across client locations PAN India to enhance visibility, strengthen relationships, and drive delivery excellence.
- Represent the organization at industry forums, client meetings, and internal leadership reviews.
Compliance & Risk:
- Ensuring strict adherence to USCIS regulations, employment practices, and client contractual obligations.
- Ensures compliance with US employment laws, tax requirements, and industry standards.
Preferred candidate profile
1. Extensive experience of Minimum 20+ years in senior operations management within the US IT staffing or recruitment industry, with a successful track record of delivery with at least 5 years of senior leadership experience in US IT/Non-IT staffing.
2. Proven experience managing large-scale teams (50+ members) in blended onshore/offshore models and deep understanding of the US IT staffing market, contingent staffing, and vendor management systems (VMS).
3. Should be good at account management, delivery etc P&L owner
4. Strong command of KPIs such as submission-to-interview ratio, time-to-fill, and candidate retention.
5. Aligning operational goals with company growth targets.
6. Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) like JobDiva, Ceipal, or Zoho.
7. Deep understanding of US hiring laws, tax terms (W2, 1099), C2Hand C2C processes.
8. Exceptional communication & negotiation skills with US stakeholders and mentoring skills.
9. Highly aggressive, confident, and results-driven - you take ownership and push the team to achieve ambitious targets.
10. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with tight deadlines.
11. Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and negotiation skills.
12. Implementing technology and procedures to streamline operations.
Typical KPIs:
1. On-time delivery of candidates (fill rate).
2. Revenue targets and margin percentage.
3. Recruiter productivity (submissions/closures per recruiter).
4. Client satisfaction (CSAT) and SLA adherence.
