Key Responsibilities

1. Plant Operations Management

- Lead the overall operations of the manufacturing plant including production, planning, maintenance, quality, and logistics

- Ensure smooth functioning of all departments with a focus on efficiency and output

- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production targets and drive performance

2. P&L Ownership

- Take full responsibility for plant-level Profit & Loss (P&L)

- Drive cost optimization initiatives and improve overall profitability

- Monitor budgets, control costs, and ensure optimal utilization of resources

3. Manufacturing Excellence

- Drive best practices in knit garment manufacturing

- Implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives

- Improve line balancing, SMV optimization, and production efficiency

4. Industrial Engineering (IE) Focus

- Lead IE initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce wastage

- Optimize manpower planning, workflow, and capacity utilization

- Ensure proper implementation of time-motion studies and efficiency tracking

5. Team Leadership & Development

- Lead and mentor cross-functional teams including production, IE, quality, HR, and maintenance

- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement

- Develop succession plans and strengthen leadership pipeline within the plant

6. Quality & Compliance

- Ensure adherence to quality standards and customer requirements

- Maintain compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and internal policies

- Drive audits, certifications, and process standardization

7. Stakeholder Management

- Collaborate with senior management on strategic initiatives

- Coordinate with buyers, vendors, and external stakeholders as required

- Provide regular MIS reports and performance updates to leadership

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong expertise in Knit Garment Manufacturing

- Deep knowledge of Industrial Engineering (IE) practices

- Proven experience in managing large-scale manufacturing operations

- Strong business acumen with P&L management experience

- Leadership and people management skills

- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities

- Strong communication and stakeholder management
