Role Overview:
As the Vice President - Maintenance, you will be responsible for leading and directing all maintenance operations, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of equipment and infrastructure. This pivotal role involves strategic planning, budget management, and team leadership to optimize maintenance services and minimize downtime. You will collaborate closely with operations, engineering, and procurement teams, as well as external vendors, to implement best practices and drive continuous improvement. Your leadership will directly impact operational efficiency, cost savings, and the overall success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy that aligns with the organization's overall business objectives, ensuring optimal equipment performance and minimizing operational disruptions.
- Lead and manage a large team of maintenance professionals, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement to enhance team performance and morale.
- Oversee the development and execution of the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and adherence to financial targets to maximize return on investment.
- Drive the implementation of automation and predictive maintenance technologies to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Manage CAPEX projects related to maintenance and equipment upgrades, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards to support long-term operational goals.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers, negotiating favorable contracts and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality maintenance services and materials to support operational needs.
- Develop and implement robust troubleshooting procedures and protocols to quickly identify and resolve equipment failures, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous operations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, promoting a safe and sustainable work environment for all employees and stakeholders.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in leading and managing large-scale maintenance operations, including strategic planning, budget management, and team leadership.
- Proven ability to implement and manage automation and predictive maintenance technologies to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve complex equipment failures.
- Strong understanding of CAPEX project management principles, including budgeting, planning, and execution.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) required; Master's degree preferred.
- Possesses 21-26 years of experience in maintenance management, with a proven track record of success in a leadership role.
