Role Overview:

The Vice President - Maintenance is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities across the plant, ensuring optimal equipment performance, minimizing downtime, and driving continuous improvement in maintenance processes. This role collaborates closely with plant operations, engineering, and procurement teams to develop and implement effective maintenance strategies. The VP of Maintenance directly impacts the plant's overall efficiency, productivity, and profitability by ensuring reliable operation of all equipment and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and maximize asset lifespan.

- Lead and mentor a team of maintenance professionals, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous learning.

- Manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources and adherence to financial targets.

- Oversee equipment troubleshooting and repair activities, ensuring timely resolution of issues and minimizing production disruptions.

- Drive automation initiatives within the maintenance function to improve efficiency, reduce manual labor, and enhance data-driven decision-making.

- Develop and manage the annual CAPEX budget for maintenance-related projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and maximizing return on investment.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements related to maintenance activities.

- Act as a key member of the plant leadership team, contributing to the overall strategic direction and performance of the facility.

- Manage relationships with external maintenance service providers, ensuring quality service delivery and cost-effectiveness.

- Develop and implement leadership development programs for the maintenance team, building a pipeline of future leaders.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.

- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing maintenance teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

- Strong financial acumen, with experience in managing maintenance budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing return on investment.

- Excellent problem-solving and equipment troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve complex technical issues.

- Deep understanding of automation technologies and their application in maintenance processes.

- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment and adapt to changing priorities.
