Principal Accountability:
Designing Process & Procedures:
- Design SOP for Legal department for all kinds of contracts;
Contract/Documentation Support:
- Drafting and Negotiation of legal contracts
- Advise on contract status, legal risks and business terms of various deals
- Ensuring proper contract stamping and registration of all the agreements including all execution formalities
- Ensuring group standards/policies are reflected in legal documents to protect the interest of the company.
- Monitoring the lifecycle of all the contracts
Operational Support:
- Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect the company and its affiliates
- Ensure assets are in compliance of the applicable laws at all possible times
- Develop and maintain relationship with the local authorities / regulatory bodies in all the cities wherein we are present
- Develop and maintain relationship with leading lawyers and law firms in the cities where we are present
- Conducting audit every quarter on legal compliances.
Litigation Support:
- Perform pre-litigation work to minimize risks and maximize legal rights
MIS, Reporting:
- Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly legal reports, as per the dashboard formats
Compliance:
- Liaising with government and semi-government bodies, judicial and semi-judicial bodies for ensuring compliance;
- Ensuring Statutory Compliance and adherence to rules & regulations laid down under variousActs and Regulations;
- Facilitating adherence through setting up processes and systems;
Others:
- Supporting the operations team to deal with day to day legal issues at the stores and resolve problems with minimum brand and risk exposure.
- Maintaining sustained contact with senior legal professionals & Law Firms for advice on local compliances, initiating legal action and documentation matters.
Relationship Management:
- Maintain effective relationship with government and other agencies for necessary statutory compliance;
